Steel rope mesh is produced in two geometric patterns, diamond and square, and the choice affects both appearance and structural behaviour. Anping Yuhan lists twenty-six steel rope mesh items covering both patterns, in cable diameters from 1.6mm to 3.2mm and aperture sizes from 30mm to 55mm, using AISI 304 and 316 stainless steel.
| Product | Pattern | Aperture | Cable | Application |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 304 rope netting, 52mm mesh | Diamond | 52 mm | 1.6mm | General enclosure netting |
| SS304 rope mesh for zoo enclosures | Diamond | 30 mm | 2.0 - 3.0mm | Primate and small mammal enclosures |
| 316 cable mesh, 55mm mesh | Square | 55 mm | 3.2mm | Large mammal and bear enclosures |
| 304 cable mesh, 30mm mesh | Square | 30 mm | 1.6mm | Bird and small animal netting |
| 304 wire rope mesh for aviary | Diamond | 45 mm | 1.6mm | Walk-through aviaries |
The diamond pattern is the default for animal enclosures. Its geometry distributes tensile load along two diagonal directions, which produces high stiffness at the intersections and resists the pulling and probing behaviour of primates and large birds. Visually, the diamond reads as a natural, soft mesh and recedes well against planting.
Square mesh aligns horizontally and vertically, so it composes better with building grids, mullions and handrails. It is often chosen for facades, balustrade infill and structured enclosure fronts where the mesh needs to look engineered rather than organic. Structurally, square patterns rely more on tension accuracy during installation to keep the geometry even.
Species behaviour, enclosure height, frame layout and wind exposure all influence the right combination of aperture, cable diameter and pattern. Submitting enclosure drawings allows Anping Yuhan to propose two or three options with panel sizes and fixing quantities. Twenty-six steel rope mesh specifications are available for export, supported by mill certificates and CE declarations. Contact stainlesssteel-ropemesh.com.
Hand-assembled netting is not a stock item, so lead time runs from three to five weeks depending on specification and quantity. Panels are compression wrapped in rolls or flat folded for large sizes, with stainless edge cable, turnbuckles and cross clamps packed separately and labelled per structure so that site allocation is immediate on arrival at the port of destination.
